General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM):

General Nursing & Midwifery, popularly known as GNM, is a diploma course offered in many nursing colleges across India. The course is aimed at producing competent nurses. It is a divine service to humanity and is considered one of the prestigious courses. After pursuing GNM course, one can work as nurse in private/government hospitals, nursing homes, clinics or serve in community health services, especially in rural areas. Working as home nurse is also a bright option, after doing GNM. The course is taught to develop an aptitude for nursing and to provide the required knowledge and skills, to make the nurses capable of providing proper medical care to patients suffering from any type of illness.
Requirements for this course:
• 10+2 Any Stream.
• 17 to 35 years age, both male and female candidates.
• Duration of this course is three and a half (3 1/2) years.

Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM):

Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) is of two years of certificate level course offered by various prominent institutions in India. The course makes aspirants familiar with the ways through which they can take care of the health related problems of sick, injured, recovering mothers, new-born mentally challenged and old people. The course also provide knowledge regarding setting up the equipments of an operation theater, providing medication, maintaining health records of patients and other routine jobs. The selection is done on the basis of merit in qualifying examination. After an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) certificate, one can always opt for higher studies or can consider pursuing career in related field.
Requirements for this course:
• 10+2 Any Stream.
• 17 to 35 years age, only female candidates.
• Duration of this course is Two (2) years.

Male Multipurpose Health Worker Course (MMPHW):

MMPHW stands for Male Multipurpose Health Worker.  This is the first and foremost step in male nursing profession.  Nursing just does not mean serving an individual patient, it has much role to play, for e.g: Health training, teaching, supervision and administration of hospital and promotion of health programmes in community.
MMPHW  course is one of the best choices for a job oriented course.  After successful completion of course, student can be exposed to wide variety of jobs. The following are some of the jobs where as MMPHW can comfortably apply & be placed as per the selection policy of Government. The NRMHM also absorbs thousands of candidates every year in different states of India with respect to our state of J&K.
Requirements for this course:
• Matriculate and Above.
• 17 to 35 years age.
• Duration of this course is one and a half (1 1/2) years. 

Female Multipurpose Health Worker (FMPHW):

FMPHW stands for Female Multipurpose Health Worker.  This is the first and foremost step in nursing profession.  Nursing just does not mean serving an individual patient, it has much role to play, for eg: Health training, teaching, supervision and administration of hospital and promotion of health programmes in community.
The most important quality one needs to possess, in order to go in for a Career in Nursing, is the ability to establish a rapport with patients and respect them. One should be able to understand situations and tackle them effectively.
As a Nurse, one helps patients to fight off diseases and illnesses. Hence, qualities like patience, perseverance, responsibility and punctuality are required for one who is inclined to follow the profession of Nursing.

• Matriculate and Above.
• 17 to 35 years age.
• Duration of this course is one and a half (1 1/2) years. 

Medical Assistant/Pharmacist Course:

Pharmacists are health professionals who practice the science of pharmacy. In their traditional role, pharmacists typically take a request for medicines from a prescribing health care provider in the form of a medical prescription, evaluate the appropriateness of the prescription, dispense the medication to the patient and counsel them on the proper use and adverse effects of that medication. In this role pharmacists act as a learned intermediary between physicians and patients and thus ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
Requirements for this course:
• 10+2 with Science.
• 17 to 35 years age, both male and female candidates.
• Duration of this course is two (2) years.
