Transformational Books

Author: Rakesh Anand (Bobby)

Like most of the people, Bobby too believed in astrology and consulted many fortune-tellers (Astrologers, Palmists, Numerologists, Tarot Card Readers, etc) not only in India but also in USA (where he completed two-year Screenwriting Program from UCLA, Los Angeles). Incidentally, at one point of time in his life, he got so obsessed with astrology that he wanted to become a part-time astrologer. Nevertheless, as he learned the system from a professional astrologer, he realized that astrology does not work! Upset about this new discovery, he started studying research work of researchers the world over but again found that astrology is fake. Finally, he decided to do his own research and testing.

Bobby prepared horoscopes of 24 famous/infamous celebrities (Arnold Schwarzenegger, Amitabh Bachchan, George Bush, Imran Khan, Madonna, Prince Charles, Rahul Gandhi, Sachin Tendulkar, etc.) and 9 non-celebrities. He showed these 33 horoscopes to astrologers practicing in different parts of India viz. Jammu , Kurukshetra, New Delhi , Mathura , etc. Overall, he obtained 101 readings made by the astrologers; but their readings proved that Stars and Planets do not affect our life.

Besides Bobby’s 101 Test readings, this book contains some very famous research works on astrology by scientists/researchers the world over. Moreover, traditions of astrology in different parts of the world have been briefly described and the steps required to eradicate the superstition of ‘fortune-telling’ systems have also been suggested.

Above all, if astrologers have any guts to prove Bobby wrong, they are most welcome to do so – Bobby has announced an award of Rs.10,00,000/- on the cover of the book for any fortune-teller who would prove that Stars and Planets affect the life of an individual… Bobby is so confident about his research and testing.

Bobby’s book is getting wide spread appreciation and has been endorsed by many prominent personalities (including gurus/scholars belonging to different religious faiths).

Messages and Good Wishes

Many scholars of the past have criticized the practice of astrology and many more are still doing so…but astrology still exists! Here, comments about astrology in different religious scriptures and from prominent personalities of the past are being given first:

Mahatma Gandhi
(Father of the Nation, India)

‘I know nothing of the science of astrology and I consider it to be science, if it is a science, of doubtful value, to be severely left alone by those who have any faith in Providence’

Voltaire
(French Philosopher)

‘Superstition is to religion what astrology is to astronomy: the mad daughter of a wise mother’

Noel Coward
(English Actor, Composer and Playwright)

‘I don't believe in astrology. The only stars I can blame for my failures are those that walk about the stage’

Robert Green Ingersoll
(American Statesman and Orator)

‘If the people were a little more ignorant, astrology would flourish - if a little more enlightened, religion would perish’

Lawrence E. Jerome
(Science Writer)

‘How much physical and psychological damage such false astrological practices and advice cause, cannot even be estimated’

Mahatma Buddha
(Founder of Buddhism)

‘Those that get a living by calculations of the stars by such and other lying tricks are to be avoided’

Swami Vivekananda
(Hindu Scholar)

‘I have seen some astrologers who predicted wonderful things; but I have no reason to believe they predicted them only from the stars, or anything of that sort. In many cases it is simply mind reading. Sometimes wonderful predictions are made, but in many cases it is arrant trash’

Ibn Uthaymeen
(Saudi Scholar)

‘Astrology is kind of sorcery and fortune-telling. It is forbidden (in the Holy Quran) because it is based on illusions, not on concrete facts. There is no relation between the movements of celestial bodies and what takes place on the Earth’

As per a quote from Bible

‘Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof’

As per a quote from Guru Granth Sahib

‘You calculate the auspicious days, but you do not understand That the One Creator Lord is above these auspicious days Do not tell lies, O pandit; O religious scholar, speak the Truth Calculating and counting, the astrologer draws the horoscope He studies it and announces it, but he does not understand reality’

As per a quote from Quran

‘He who uses astronomy for something other than what Almighty Allah has made lawful would be practicing sorcery. Astrologists predict knowledge of the future, and he who does so is a sorcerer, and sorcerers are disbelievers’

Well, after writing the book, the next step was to collect messages from some prominent personalities since people pay attention to what they say. It was an uphill task as most of the people (especially public figures) avoid involving themselves in the things that seem to them of controversial nature. So, after months of calling and waiting, most of them didn't respond (especially selfish and misleading media bosses). But, as they say, there is always a silver lining in the dark clouds - some of them decided to say something so that the innocent masses be benefited. We salute each one of them. Following are excerpts from some of the messages given by prominent personalities of India:
